Why is my test inconclusive?
This means your sample didn’t meet the requirements to be reported as a positive result, but there was a partial signal from our test that the COVID-19 virus could be present in your system. We will automatically re-run tests that show as inconclusive the first time, so the result you see is that of the re-run test, which has also come back as inconclusive.
The UK government classes an inconclusive test as 'unclear', alongside a failed test. Positive or unclear test results mean that unfortunately you can't travel. You should contact TUI to discuss your next steps.
Does this mean there was something wrong with the sample?
No, if the sample was insufficient or of poor quality, or couldn't be run by the lab for any reason, the result you see would show as 'failed'.
